Rose Melody Merry-go-round JSK and handmade bloomers!

Ahh, so finally I'm getting around to posting again. Under the cut is a new JSK and also a pair of handmade bloomers made from adorable cupcake material :)

I've been dying to buy anything lolita to try and increase my wardrobe, which is incredibly difficult as I've been pretty short of cash lately. Unfortunately I lost my job -.- But that's ok... it was only part-time and I only needed it to buy loli (and video games X3), as my parents support me.

So, after thinking long and hard, I decided to stick with CLOBBA online (which was wise, I've had three experiences with them and have been pleased each time) and try a Rose Melody JSK. I bought this early January and wasn't sure how long it would take, as the Chinese New Year was coming up. But CLOBBA sent it out fairly quickly, after three weeks or so, but postage took about two weeks. One Day in Paradise do have this dress, but buying it from CLOBBA was cheaper. Plus, I had it tailor-made for my measurements. Which is awesome ^^ So here it is:

Hah, I should have cropped out my shoes. They are so not loli xD Anyway, I'm very happy with the dress, especially the quality of the print! It isn't blurry at all, and is a nice shimmery metallic silver. The only thing that bothers me is the quality of the silver lacing, I may replace it if I can find better ribbon. Other than that, I think it would look lovely with a black blouse underneath, and maybe I'll eventually find black socks with a silver design on them :3 I will be wearing this JSK to Armageddon, and will attempt to curl my hair and do some presentable make-up, ha, to try and look like a decent loli :b

Okey, now here is my latest loli sewing project:

I love that material ^^ While making these, I made a couple mistakes and had some learning opportunites as well xD Overall, I'm fairly happy with the improvements I made to these compared to my first pair! I recently made a rather cute little tote bag with an icecream design on it. Heaps of mistakes all over the damn thing, though. Not sure if I'll post a pic -.- I'm currently making an apron for my sister :3

I'm starting uni again next Monday, so we shall see how that goes... I really want to try and keep up with some sewing or drawing during term, but it does get quite difficult. I should try to find some projects that require a lot of hand-stitching or embroidery, as I find it quite relaxing to do this in front of the tv xD
