Holy update, Batman! It's not a quiz or meme!

Yes, that's right. I'm actually trying to do the original thought thing. Amazing.

I'm working on planning a vacation for me and my buds. Since graduating from college we've been scattered to the far ends of the country, and it would be nice to actually see everyone face to face if only for a week. To that end, we're working on renting a beach house or something for a week this coming fall. The beach in fall in a place where it's still warm but cooler than Phx....mmmmm. I'm kind of hoping that by fall the premium prices will be over and done with.

I went home to MI to see my fam over Christmas. I miss my dog now. There's nothing like stumbling out of your bedroom in the morning and having a sweet little face with her ears flat back and her entire back half wagging and a silly doggy smile on her face greeting you to make you feel loved. And I miss my nephew too. He's so much fun. And I miss my sisters and my bro. And I'm sad I didn't get to see any of my friends whilst I was home - the family monopolized all of my time which I didn't mind too bad.

I did absolutely nothing for New Year's Eve "and it was all I hoped it could be." Damn! There goes the idea of original thoughts. I did, however, make a resolution. I resolve to go to more cultural events this year. Concerts, ballet, opera, festivals, whatever. I will start that off by trying to go see the AZ Opera production of "Cosi fan Tutti". If I remember right I studied it in a music class my freshman yr of college. Followed later in the month by the Skillet concert. Hooray!!!! Then the AZ Renaissance Festival. :) It's going to be a good, if rather expensive, year.

I'm still really rather depressed when I think about my Michigan Wolverines losing in the last seconds in the Rose Bowl. *sigh. At least they played a half-ways decent game. The penalties killed us.

I got some happy news during the time I was at home, but I think I'll save that for another, girly-er post.

home, culture, michigan football, boys
