As I notified everyone last week, today I am freezing this kink meme. Please post all new prompts to http://tronkinkmeme.dreamwidth.org/
In the new community in dreamwidth I have a set up an entry specifically for WIPs from the old (i.e. the current) community which you can find Read more... )

Um, what if we want to leave feedback on old threads? There are now dozens of fills I can't reply to.

Unfortunately there's nothing I can do for those who want to leave feedback, unlocking various entries constantly for that purpose is impractical, incredibly time-consuming and very hard to keep track of. It is another unfortunate consequence of the LJ mess, I'm afraid. That is definitely not what I wanted for this kinkmeme and I am fully aware how unfair it is, but under the circumstances we'll all have to deal with it. I'm so sorry.

I don't see why old threads would all of a sudden become wankfests and need freezing in the first place. I am tracking the whole meme and I know that the rare posts that were made in the last weeks were all normal fills and feedback. Just leave it as it is, unfrozen, and if you can't deal with any sudden developments find somebody who will.

I believe I made myself perfectly clear that while I don't believe they would become wankfests there is always the possibility that they CAN and due to LJ sending me unlabelled notifications, I would not be able to properly moderate the meme - which by the way includes things other than wankfests.

Also, considering that the only person capable of appointing new mods is honeycuddles and she has been MIA for months now your suggestion to find someone else to do my job is kind of pointless and it should have been obvious to you had you bothered to read my previous post in detail. But, to reiterate, because my job as a mod is to do just that: I cannot deal with sudden developments because LJ management and honeycuddles's absence took away my means of dealing with them.

But still, if you wish to go on a wild goose chase and look for honeycuddles, manage to find her and make her respond to you (good luck with that one!), make her come back here and fix the community's settings and then you volunteer to become a mod and take my place AND MY RESPONSIBILITY TO THIS MEME, ( ... )

ngl, this kind of passive-aggressive, contentious, transparently powergrabbing behavior is why i wont be moving to the new meme. just like honeycuddles maya wants to control the meme even though she's not active in the fandom anymore. if you don't have time for it that's fine. but the only real reason i can see for not looking for someone who WILL freeze comments on the old meme if needed (and if you're abandoning it WHO CARES ANYWAY???) is that it's to drive traffic to the new meme. but reading the above comment? a mod saying stuff like that? a mod, imo, should be a firm but neutral hand who doesn't get angry or act self-important and offended when questioned. "I, I, I... 'my job'"...get real. this is fandom. running a comm does not make you important. sure i appriciate maya stepping in as mod before but there's gotta be someone out there who wont flip out and attack people for questioning them reasonably ( ... )

Maya, if you don't want to do this leave the meme as it was, quit modding, and wash your hands of it. Nobody says YOU have some epic responsibilty to the fandom. If you can't do this, then just don't. Nobody will hate on you for it. Freezing this is a worse thing to do to everyone who put work in it than abandoning it.
