Just wondering why there is the "keep it anon" rule? I've always found that if people want to de-anon on these things (for credit, for posting to personal journals, whatever the case may be), it's not a bad thing.
So... why does this rule exist? I've never understood it. Could it perhaps be modified? "Keep it anon if you'd like?"
Sometimes it makes anons feel awkward when people post unanon. I'm fine be lax with it, but I would prefer everyone be anon. It makes it easier to indulge in really kinky stuff.
I think it should be up to the author and anons whether they would like to be known or not. If, perhaps, the author would like people to read their other fics, why not be known? And if readers want to say "hey, this is me, I liked your fic," then why would it make an author uncomfortable?
Obviously, there should never be any pressure to de-anon. But to have it a rule that you have to be anon seems a little extreme.
*shrug* I've just been around a lot of kink memes and never heard of anyone feeling awkward when someone is de-anon. And I've already seen people on this meme deleting posts and going "OMG MOD I'M SORRY" for being not anon, which seems far more awkward to me.
Personally I'd rather post logged in so I can correct errors, delete misfires, etc.
Sorry for tl;dr. I just am really excited about this meme and want to see it succeed.
Since this is a kink meme, which traditionally are mostly, if not all anon, we do want to stay with that, BUT if someone wants to post their fic on their account, we don't have a problem with that. Whether it's because they want to fix errors or want credit or whatever. This is a community, and the mods don't want to be crazy mod gods and ban anyone who slips up. I'll update the rules and make a post. :]
different anon
anonymous

just wanting to pop in and say that i have been in tons of kink memes and there has never been any problem with people posting logged in, whether for asking for requests or filling requests. it just seems kind of weird for mods to specifically say "we want to keep everything anon"
So... why does this rule exist? I've never understood it. Could it perhaps be modified? "Keep it anon if you'd like?"

your experience =/= everyone's
if the mods would like to keep it anon, there's nothing wrong with that.
if you don't like it, you're free to start your own!
