New Softie
So i made a new softie tonight while watching the 4400 on dvd (I have never watched it before this week, my sister and her boyfriend have been watching season 4, i'm a little confused, but its entertaining).
I'm not really sure what this critter is. my sister says he makes noises like 'dom dee dom dom dom'. except we're not sure how because he doesn't have a mouth. she also thinks he looks a bit like "shy guy. I think thats just the white face and the red.

i'm too lazy to charge my camera's batteries, so mobile phone photos is what you're going to get for now. maybe tomorrow i'll get some shots outside in light.
anyways this critter is made out of some red and white felt that didn't get all packed up with the rest of my things. its most likely just acrylic felt, but then i can't really tell. i've never really done much work with felt. i'm a cotton girl.
he is completely hand stitched.
his eyes are made from buttons and a blue sparkly bead.
he has silver sequins and beads sewn across his tummy. to ward off enemies and attract suitable mates i'm sure.
i had no plans at all when i was making this softie. i just cut a shape out of the felt freehand and started to sew.
making this guy was rather relaxing.
tomorrow night i might be going to the first brisbane stitch 'n' bitch meeting of the year. i've never been before. i'm a little nervous. i still might not go.
