two faced penguin

When I was moving my sewing machine upstairs yesterday I found some already cut out pieces, with faces and eyes sewn on. However the poor things didn't have backs! So I made this penguin two faced!

Originally I started making these about 2 years ago. There were four to begin with. One was finished and given to my friend Kate because she was feeling sad. Another was finished later and then became a pin cushion until it ran away. I suppose it found all the pins being stuck in it a bit abusive. And then there are these two, who just floated around, and now they are one.

I used one of Molly Chicken's Festive Birds pattern, which you can find here.

Currently I'm working on some kind of monster. I don't really know what its going to look like, I'm just making it up as I go along. I'm using a little of the yellow fleece from yesterday, some white felt and scrap black flannel that I've had lying around for awhile. Who knows what this critter is going to end up looking like!
