Yet more info on TRON: Legacy remix album.

Feb 18, 2011 12:24

There hasn't been any announcement about who else is doing the remixes for the album, but TronSoundtrack.com did update with purchasing info, which is all below the cut.

Also, the official title of the album is apparently TRON: R3CONFIGUR3D. With the 3s and everything.

There are four different packages you can purchase. From most expensive to least expensive:

Source. (This is just the US store. The EU, AU, and CA stores haven't updated to include any info on this album, so I don't know if/when it'll be available overseas.)

One of the things that really annoys me about this whole setup is that there's no option to purchase the album by itself, which means that if you've already pre-ordered the DVD elsewhere (or if you've already got the graphic novel), there isn't any way for you to make a purchase and still get the Digital EP with the unreleased material without paying way too much for things you already have (or will get). I suppose they might eventually make the album available singly (I certainly hope they do), but it doesn't seem very likely.

At any rate, that's the news. The site says the album artwork should be coming soon; hopefully that'll coincide with an announcement of the track/artist listing?

End of line, etc.

EDIT: I just got an email (screencap) from TronSoundtrack.com that says the Collector's Digital EP will not be released until "around April 25." This directly conflicts with the information on the site itself (which says the EP will be released on April 18th). I'll update again if the date gets officially nailed down.

Said email also says that the Collector's Digital EP "includes at least 5 tracks of alternate takes, additional music cues from the soundtrack by Daft Punk." (And now I'm starting to wonder if this "collector's" EP is just/includes the tracks the bonus disc from the non-US release of the soundtrack, which had just 5 tracks.)
