Two things have changed.
First, the time of Sharapova's match got later. For the sake of Australian tv (I assume, seeing no other reasonable explanation) the first women's semifinal has been pushed back from 11am Melbourne time to 1:30pm. Sharapova vs. Kvitova will take place immediately following that match, which probably means a start time between 5am and 6am German time. I can do that.
Second, I realized something I should've been aware of immediately. (Too much work is weighing down my brain!) "Sharapova vs. Kvitova" is a match that was played last year in July in the finals of the Championships Wimbledon. Thanks to my incessant fandom, you can see my thoughts the day before that match here and my thoughts just after that match ended here. That makes this more than just a difficult semifinals showdown: now it's payback. Now it's personal. Now I'm waking up hella early tomorrow morning to catch this thing live.
