it's a good time to be a hipster

I was looking for concerts in Hamburg while I'm over there and saw M83, Cymbals Eat Guitars, and First Aid Kit, among other bands that continuously assault my Facebook feed in the form of messages like "Beanie McPBR listened to ______ on Spotify". Some emo bands will also be swinging through Germany in the winter months: The Promise Ring, Never Shout Never, and The Maine that I recognized. All these were jotted down just so I could cross them off my list later, as were European tour stops by Shinedown, 3 Doors Down, Nada Surf, LMFAO, and The Black Keys, the last of whom I just can't bring myself to listen to seriously since they released half a dozen albums in total anonymity and now all of a sudden are apparently the sh*t. That's the message I get from heavy play on DC101 and SportsCenter and sold-out shows at massive amphitheaters, anyway. If I tried out The Black Keys and found out they were awesome, my best case scenario would be egregious hype-inspired bandwagonning.

Yep, looks like the only concert in northern Germany in the next two months that won't suck will be the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain.
