(no subject)
Hmmm ok, time for a normal post...
Today was semi-boring (surprise, surprise...) but I DID get to see Sabrina for a while. (It was supposed to be a study break, but I ended up getting home after dinner, after saying "I'll be right back"...oops.) Apparently my little brother Gregory told my aunt and grand-parents that "David's gone for "coffee" (insert sarcasm here)...but who goes for coffee in the middle of the day?" He's a little brat....hahaha. So yeah...got MOST of my history essay done today, minus the conclusion and my thesis...but we're restricted to 500 words, and I'm already over 550! A topic like "George Bush vs. John Kerry" is to broad to limit to 500 words...but I'm going to try negotiating with J-rock on Monday...see if there isn't SOMETHING (wink, wink) that will persuade him to grant me 100 words or so....hahaha. Anyway, the essay rocks the kasbah anyway, so I'm not worried...when he laminates it and it gets published in the Vancouver Sun, they won't care about an extra 100 words or so....muwahahaaa.
But regarding the election...it's really making me anxious! I really don't know what I'd think if Bush got in again, but it would be extremely disappointing...he's just waaaay too socially conservative...I would even call it extereme. I also find it interesting that whenever anyone in other countries are polled, support for Kerry is almost unanimous, yet there is so much support for Bush in the US. And I also don't know who the hell came up with the American electoral process for electing the president...how can the votes of 49% of a state not count for anything if the other 51% vote the other way? That makes no sense to me...what's even more confusing is that someone who is so vital to setting policy and running a country can be elected with only 48% of the popular vote...and this election will be even closer. Oh well, I'll just have to become a terrorist...muwahahaaa.
Ok, well it was just pouring rain outside, so I thought, why not go in my hot tub for a bit? (It's really cool in the rain...I highly recommend it). Anyway, it was sort of fun, but it stopped pouring at almost the exact second that I got in, which was weird...and then when I got out, there was this great flash of light (I didn't immediately realize that it was lightning) that scared the shit out of me...especially since I wasn't wearing a bathing suit (what's the point...everyone's asleep...hahaha) and that makes one feel somewhat vulnerable. Anyway, I guess my point is that if you're ever going to go in your hot tub, alone, during a rainstorm, wear a bathing suit.
Wow, it's 1:05 now...I just gained an hour! So the last hour of making weird, unnecessary lj posts wasn't completely wasted after all...but ya know what, I think I'm done. Ciao!
I'd just like to add...I started an lj post at 1:19 and ended it at 1:05... -0:14 ain't bad!...
