Good for the NY Jets, and good for Favre.
I will always love the Packers, but they were utter morons in this situation. How else do you explain trading away the standing holder of most QB records in the NFL - to replace him with a backup who has been injured in the most of the games he's played. Aaron Rodgers may be a great QB, and I'll be cheering for him, but the only success he's had *as a backup* was when he came into a game and was able to exploit a defense that had been prepared to play against four-quarters of Favre. No question Rodgers is more mobile, gives the Packers another option, etc. Their best chance was with Favre, and for pride they sent him packing. I hope this doesn't lead to some kind of 'curse of the Bambino' for the Pack. That'd be lousy.
I'm still a Packers fan, but I'll be cheering for the Jets as well this year as long as Favre's playing there.
