Duets

Someone told me one time that you should play with the best people who can stand to hear you play. I've always tried to keep that in mind. That was the main reason that I put together the ETW quartet last year (Dr. Stroeher, James Martin, Mark Casto and me). Those 3 guys are some of the best players I've ever played with. That same logic is one of the reasons I've always used Michelle Hontz as my pianist.

Since I have lost most of my ensemble outlets over the summer I've started playing duets with James Martin. Playing with James is a great experience. He is an outstanding player and sight reader. His rhythm is fantastic and this is one of my weakest points. So its a real treat to get to play with James and I'm sure it is going to keep my intonation is good shape over the summer.
