my mum tried to run me over!
Not really.
Well sort of not really.
It was an accident.
On her birthday, I took her to see Midnight Tango at the local theatre which I covered nicely just here. The driver's side window on Mum's car doesn't work... so when we left the multi-storey, I had to get out, put the ticket in the machine and get back in again. All good fun. Except, when I was climbing back in, I had my right leg in the car and her foot slipped off the clutch at exactly the same moment. So, the car rolled back and hit my knee.
And it's still hurting today. So.... went to the doctor's after two days' worth of pain (thanks to two shifts at work). I've sprained the ligament between my kneecap and lower leg. And then I got told I have to have total bedrest for a fortnight. They'll love me at work because now, I have to have two weeks off. But it's either that or have this becoming a persistent problem where I am not going to be able to work for even longer.
Even so, blargh. Pain.
