I'll be entirely honest, the moment that had me most excited was the 'Romana reference' as it was entirely unexpected. And well, I'm me.
I think, to be sure what I think of it, I need to watch it again. I'm not sure about what I think about having 2 'invisible' monster episodes in a row - it feels like it needed something to break it up a bit.
As for the passengers, the one that appealed to me the most was Deedee. Most probably because she was a student, without much faith in herself. Jethro was quite an interesting character, too -- trying to break out from under the wings of his parents and all that.
I'm not entirely keen on stories that show the worst of human nature with seemingly little to balance it out. The argument could be that the beginning, with the (forced) conversation between the passengers shows their better side, where once thrown into a dangerous situation, they are only out to look after themselves.
Lesley Sharp as Sky Silvestry, was incredible. That dialogue must have been so hard!
I'm also a little disappointed that the RoseTylerMarthaJonesDonnaNobleTARDIS was purely New Who companions. Whilst I'm happy that all of them got a reference, it's just limiting the shows past in a way. Yes, I had a Romana Reference earlier in the episode, but what was wrong with including, say, SJS in there?
I think, generally, I enjoyed it. But in a way, it felt something was missing. I'm not sure what. The tension was great, the dialogue was good... but still something.
