Calling Mentalist Fanartists!
Jello Forever is currently running the Mentalist Big Bang and we're currently short of at least two fanartists!
I'm looking for people to illustrate the following two fics:
AUTHOR FOUR:
Pairings: Jane/Lisbon
Theme: Romance, Angst, Drama, Hurt/Comfort
Rating: M
This takes place during episodes 2.22 and 2.23, without altering canon events. This is a part of a continuing series of mine. It starts after 2.15 and evolves from there, with the second installment focusing on Jane realizing he may have feelings for Lisbon.
This story will be either a two or four parter and will fill in the blanks from those two episodes, focusing mostly on Jane admitting his feelings to Lisbon and how that ties in with canon. Frye, Hightower, and the team will make appearances, but the bulk of the story will deal with J/L and their individual takes on their relationship and where each of them sees it going. It won’t be too case heavy, but will include the aftermath of Jane’s disastrous date with Frye and his encounter with Red John. Since I will continue this series in season three, the ending may be open-ended but hopeful nonetheless.

Pairings: Jane/Lisbon, Rigsby/Van Pelt, Lisbon/OC...I think that's it.
Themes: Um...never good at this. Friendship, romance, case fic, no angst, at least I don't think...ok, so maybe mild angst, but nothing bad.
This is a future fic. Lisbon's left the CBI, the rest of the team, less Rigsby, is still there. Ummm...Rigsby and Van Pelt are married, but this is really not a huge part of the plot, just a way to deal with it. They've got kids, again, just for fun, not a real big part of the plot.
This is a Red John case fic. It starts with the team traveling to San Diego (though I think I'm going to change it to some nameless faceless made up town in so cal) to investigate what they were told looks very much like a Red John case where something went wrong.
Through Jane's wanderings we discover that Lisbon is a high ranking police official in town and that she's the one who called in the team...also that she's got a little girl who it's no surprise who the dad is, though it doesn't come right out and say. We also discover that Lisbon has a boyfriend who, despite the whispers saying not to, she agrees to marry.
The team checks local hospitals for a John Doe whom Jane thinks will be the injured Red John.
This is about where I'm at right now.
In the rest of the story the team will find who they think if Red John, and the man, near deaths door because he didn't go to the hospital taunts Jane. We find out that the reason he even came to San Deigo (or what ever town I make up) is because he knew that Lisbon was there and saw the girl and knew it was Jane's. In the conversation it's discovered that RJ has been sick (I'm thinking cancer, which is why he was able to be surprised, he was weak) for a while and has taken on an apprentice...guess who that is?
SO Jane rushes to the rescue. Still debating on if the rest of the team will help out or not. I've still got to finish a lot of this and I'm sure I'm going to scrap some of what I've got written, but this is about what's going to happen.
No one on the team dies, but there will be a child placed in danger and all that. Kind of a replay of Jane's family.
This should remain rated T, I don't think we're going to get into the M rating with this one, so not too much language, guts, gore, and no smut. It's just not the story for it.
We accept fanart in virtually every form from videos to fanmixes to wallpapers to banners and more! I'd really appreciate it if somebody came forward to do one (or both!) of these authors.
There may be other authors available to illustrate for in the future - I just want to make sure every author has two artists first.
