The Watchmen & Dinner Madness
Yes, I've been absent for a while... on Livejournal at least. I'll try and do better about this, but I need to figure out how to balance between the daily grind of microblogging and the sorts of interesting stuff that should show up here.
As for tonight, a group of us got together to see The Watchmen. Wow, they weren't kidding about all the blue cock! But I honestly didn't consider it distracting to the story. I also enjoyed some of the gory enhancement of some of the action scenes. I really did enjoy the music selections, too... there was really only one song I noticed I didn't recognize at all. I'd definitely see this movie again -- hint hint to you know who you are -- and find a lot of stuff I missed the first time.
After the movie, most of us went to a nearby sushi joint to have some dinner. I didn't actually have sushi, but the dinnertime banter was very munch-esque. At one point, conversation reminded me of something I'd seen recently in a very humorous Youtube video. I've embedded it below. There are several sample commercials within. The two of note from this evening are the BDSM scene (with hamster!) and a trip to the OBGYN. ;D
