Postcards from the Edge
Was at the Edges event yesterday and had a marvelous time. I did unfortunately miss the fashion and burlesque shows, but I really enjoyed the oil wrestling! hehe
But the most enjoyable time of the evening was visiting with friends and chatting with folks in the dungeon. There was a terrific energy going on. I don't think I'd ever seen that many people from so many different parts of the community together there before. It was magical... and it really felt like family.
The most memorable moments of the day occurred when the eddies of conversation converged to a single stream. That was electric. And absolutely no one in recent memory accomplishes this as well as our beloved Miss Courtney. Although the gang enjoys giving her hard time about it, there isn't a venue I haven't seen be completely electrified by her presence.
