[At first glance, you may think that this video is accidental; it certainly looks that way. This, of course, is intentional. Izaya has the PokéGear in his lap, and right in the same view is a Mudkip. ( this is namie. and namie is judging you. because the alternative is slapping you. which would be satisfying, but ... )

You must be joking.

of course, he wouldn't have it any other way. trollsikebukuro January 4 2011, 22:51:37 UTC
[But slapping your boss isn't very nice, is it?]

The name practically chose itself, Namie-san. It'd be a lie to deny the parallel!

( who wants to be nice? )

As if you could really compare me to those things.

While I'd agree that in most cases, Namie-san isn't much like you, there are shared traits. After all - [He motions towards the Sneasel, who is being quite overbearing and loving to the small Mudkip.] she's already quite attached to Seiji-kun.

Though I'm inclined to think her love will remain a bit more sisterly.

She's just acting like a child who found a new toy. She'll get bored soon enough. Love? Hardly.

I suppose we'll see. But that didn't happen to you, Namie-san, so I wouldn't be so confident in that.

Hmph. Maybe she's actually sensible. But I wouldn't bet on it.

And why not?

Because any sensible person wouldn't bet on anything. Least of all a Pokemon.

[He leans back, simultaneously tapping his fingers against the floor.] Surely you don't think my sensibilities make much of a difference under those circumstances, Namie-san. Then again, you're not one to trust my judgment.

Of course, my stance on these things is often as correct as my facts.

Which is what makes it all the more amusing when both turn out wrong.

That's presuming they do though, of course. Even if that's what you want, there's no guarantees. Not yet.

Yet...? That assumes you'll get to that point eventually.

The possibility is always there, isn't it? I don't intend on it getting to that point, but I won't deny the notion.
