Hiding? I think you're blinded by your unfounded rage! [He backs up, shifting his position. After a second, he slips a steak knife out from the sleeve of his coat and points it at Shizuo] I'm merely settling this by legal means, Shuzu-chan.

[He lowers his head, his smile fading and his face growing serious.] It's disappointing, you know. I'd thought you'd make some progress being away from Ikebukuro. Such a shame to see that nothing ever changes.

[If you don't change, he doesn't have to, either. Something about Izaya's behavior bugs Shizuo, a lot... but right now he's too confused and off-balanced by his rage to stop and think about it. The steak knife is noted but Shizuo doesn't do anything to properly compensate for it. He's already pissed off enough about being lost in the woods and a cave for a week, and dealing with Izaya is only making him even more crazy and irrational than usual.]

[Not caring about how much of a strain this is putting on his body he takes a downward swing with the sign at Izaya, and wants to scream in frustration about how slow and sluggish this world makes him feel.]

[Izaya doesn't have to say anything to that. He can plainly see that Johto's lack of abilities attached to anything but Pokémon is putting a strain on Shizuo. It's fortunate to him, of course -- his mastery of parkour isn't hindered by their location, not to mention the fact that he's been resting up since arriving to Azalea the week before.

Right, right. Shizuo is at even more of a disadvantage than he usually is. His feet don't move from the pavement as he leans back as far as his agile body will let him - he only narrowly misses the swing, but quickly recovers, jumping back a few more feet.]

[Shizuo will certainly be sore later, and some part of him is well aware of this fact... but again, he's too worked up and furious to do anything about it. All that's on his mind right now is injuring Izaya, to the point that when his downward swing with the the sign misses his simply drops the damn thing and lunges at Izaya instead. If he can't hit the bastard, he'll just strangle him.]

You're being reckless, Shizu-chan. [His tone is sturdy and serious, but still condescending enough to - most likely - further infuriate Shizuo. Of course, Izaya is more concerned with not getting his neck wrung, so he holds the knife straight out as he moves to the side in hopes of at least nicking his arm as he tries to buy a bit of time and properly strategize an escape.]

[Stop dodging and let Shizuo strangle you, Izaya! Shizuo doesn't try to avoid the knife and instead just goes straight for Izaya, not even seeming to care that his shirt sleeve gets torn up and stained with blood in the process. It's not the shirt he arrived with -- no, the clothes that Kasuka had given him, the only pair he had left, were tucked safely away somewhere else, where they wouldn't get damaged or torn up.]

[It's not like he really feels the knife anyway. He's asking for a good stabbing, but he's in an exceptionally bad mood even for him.]

[Really, this was just getting annoying to Izaya. Fortunately, he could deduce that he'd eventually have to run into energy if someone didn't interrupt them before that.

He moved swiftly, keeping just enough distance to not get hit - but still close enough to tease Shizuo with the prospect of being able to hit him. He shifted the knife, aiming the blade carefully.]

You'll lose a finger or two if you're not careful.
