A little less than 30 minutes left of my workday - I have given up on being productive.
I'm finding myself invigorated by Autumn. Yes, the departure of summer days signal a return to regular workdays and a rather sullen teen in the mornings. The cheque I had to write her school to pay for fees and all the supplies (free education, my eye!!) caused my heart to stop beating momentarily but Fall is by far my favourite season nonetheless.
The crisp air wakes me up, my lungs don't feel like they have to work so hard gleaning oxygen like they do with heavy sunshine-laden atmosphere. And I love being able to wear sweaters and tights and clunky boots, summer clothes are far too revealing for this chubby body and are never skimpy enough to relieve the skin splitting overheated sensation I feel throughout all of August.
September equinox (check out info on Mabon for my
pagan friends) means the suns goes down at a reasonable hour and won't be sneaking under my eyelids at 6:00am on Saturdays for a while!
Halloween decorations are everywhere and I love the whimsical "sparkle death" festooning yards and windows all over the city.
Christmas isn't looming over me and my meagre bank account as yet so I'm not fretting about finances and how I'm going to manage giving my loved ones everything they want and deserve.
Yes Autumn is cheering me up a wee bit today, thanks Mother Nature.
Mmmmmm.....I love these positive manic swings....
