across the Texas Gulf Coast. Fortunately, the boys and I are in Austin with
cabin77 (who is taking stellar care of us, and whom we appreciate and love more than she will ever know) while the HHP (hot hubby person) is holding down the fort at home.
The good news: Ike has gone, and - as of now - it looks like we personally avoided any further damage. Praise God for His protection and His mercy!
The bad news: Entergy says it could be a month or more before the area has power again. That means evacuation lasts a lot longer than we had hoped.
So, I don't know when I'll be going home, but I know I have a home to which to go. So still and all, I'm content.
I'll update again when we know more.
