So I was at the USC vs Stanford basketball game yesterday (which we won, btw...woohoo!). It was very exciting. But what made it the most fun were the kids who was sitting behind me.
I was way up in the 2nd tier, around mid-court. Behind me and one seat to my left was an 8ish year old kid with his 5ish year old brother and dad with him. The kids were wearing the most adorable USC basketball jerseys.
Throughout the game the older brother was yelling. Every single time we got the ball, he'd constantly yell "Shoot shoot shoot!" It was pretty adorable. I probably heard him say it over a hundred times...before halftime. Then, he started yelling "Give the ball to twenty-one!!!" instead. When Stanford got the ball, he'd start yelling "Take the ball away!!! Block block block!"
He continued to say the cutest little things...such as when we were down by three, he turned and explained to his little brother, "We should get a three...because then we'll be tied by zero."
When we got that three, he kept saying "We tied! We tied!"
Then during one particular free throw by Stanford, it was pretty quiet, and then someone from the student section yelled "(Insert guy who was shooting the free throw's name here), YOU SUCK!!!!"
The brothers looked at each other. Then, the 8 year old yelled "STANFORD, YOU SUCKS!!!"
The little brother then yelled "YEAH...LOOOOSER!"
I thought to myself, "Kids are so impressionable." and reminded myself to tell Christine the story after the game.
After telling Christine the story, she said "Kids are so impressionable."
What are some silly things you've heard kids say?
