Well, as someone who's never written ot3+ nor has read much, I'd be really grateful for some advise and/or recs. :D

So is there anything in particular one should watch out for/be sure to do in an ot3+ fic? How do you balance romance between more than two people? Any and all advise would be greatly appreciated. Oh, recs of any fandom would be fantastic!

personally I think it's more fun when there's some friction/conflict between the three (or more) on some level :) like... if everyone just gets along swimmingly and there's no uncertainty or confusion about the unusual relationship... what's the point?

This is a very good point. I've been debating whether or not to have jealousy/uncertainty in my fic, but then I wondered if that would really make it ot3? I am so clueless to this. XD But having those elements make for very interesting/dramatic stories.

I think with ot3s you've got to strike a balance between the separate pairings? if you focus on one too much, you run the risk of excluding someone and then it doesn't seem as plausible that they'd be in the relationship. It can be hard to do and I know I fail at it sometimes.

funnily enough, whenever I write Shihanchul, I really focus on Shihan which is super weird since it's the one pairing from that ot3 that I don't ship on its own :|

lmao maybe it's because you KNOW you don't really ship them, so you overcompensate and pay them more attention? ;D
