Oddness
It's Friday the 13th. Cordelia & I walked out of the house this morning and just as Cordelia was sitting down on the top step to wait for me to lock the door, this kitten popped out from our downstairs neighbor's porch to mew greetings and salutations at us. This little JET BLACK kitten!!! Eeek. But no, as the kitten looked up at me, I noticed a little white tuft at its throat...Phew!
Then, as I was walking from the parking garage to my office, there were workers putting up an awning at the bank on the corner that has just changed names due to a merger. If I wanted to stay on the sidewalk, I would have had to walk under two ladders! Needless to say, I stepped out into the street.
So far, the only bad thing that's happened today has been arriving at work only to find that no-one had made a fresh pot of coffee yet. I can deal with that.
