So I'm sitting here watching this movie,
Baraka. If you have not seen this movie, I ask you to consider placing it into your Netflix queue and giving it a shot. It is the most inspiring movie for me, as a photographer, that I think I have ever seen. It doesn't really have a narrative. No spoken words. It tells a story in moving images. I keep trying to figure out how I could suck its dick more, but I'm not going to. I'm just gunna say that view the watching of it more as a guided mediation, rather than entertainment. If you have seen it, I'm interested to hear what your opinion was! These things can be so subjective between people. Sometimes the phrase one man's garbage is another man's treasure goes the other way too.
Christmas was good! The sis' got a Wii with Guitar Hero (Legends of Rock), Mariokart, WiiPlay, and Mario Party 8, which we played hardcore all day long from the moment presents were over until I had to drag myself away to come home to the puppy (of course not counting any "holiday activity" like Christmas dinner or desert or such things)
Of course I've played one a lot before but it's different because I got to have the enjoyment of exploring the new system too, instead of just playing with friends where we just dive into the playing because they all spend a massive number more in hours playing it.
Anyway, like I was saying, Christmas was good. Got some clothes (all of which I actually like and will wear! Go mom!) a few DVDs (Lost Season 4!, 3:10 To Yuma, and Baraka 2-Disc special edition) another William Gibson novel and probably some other things that I'm forgetting. Also, pretty much my entire camping trip was financed as an early Christmas present. Everyone got and gave things that made them happy and brought them happiness for sharing and being with family.
What more could you ask for.
