Yuletide, and a cooking question
I just realised it's been ages since I posted, AGAIN. Still haven't finished that Kissathon ficlet! Time isn't real, or something. Time thieves. Whatever.
Anyway: Yuletide assignments are out, and all requests have been revealed. Consequently (thanks to some searching through that giant text file on my lunch break) I now have not only an assignment, but also a list of potential treats! Seven of them, as a matter of fact, in six different fandoms. (For reference, I have never in my life managed more than three treats in an exchange, and very often I have managed none at all. Will this stop me from making lists? NO, IT WON'T.)
Also, something completely different: after last month's fan meet-up and an excellent dinner, I've been trying to recreate that place's Chinese-style garlic sauce. Alas, so far I have failed (though the results were still tasty). It never comes out quite right - and most importantly, never garlicky enough! Anyone have a favourite recipe?
