dwsanta reveals are up! Yay, now I can go and answer my comments. :D

This is the fic I wrote - alas, no one guessed it:

Title: Out of Synch
Pairing: Tenth Doctor/Jack Harkness
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: none
Summary: It didn't seem the most likely place to find an adventure. But the TARDIS must have had a reason for bringing him here. - Post-Planet of the ( Read more... )

Love it! I have such a weakness for Ten/Jack angsty we-really-would-be-great-together-if-we-could-just-get-over-our-issues fic. (Ha. Which is maybe all of them?) Thanks for sharing!

You confused me! I pegged this as yours right from the start, but then the other day you said one of the fics posted that day was yours, so I reconsidered, thinking that I had to have been wrong.

Anyway, as I said at the time, I loved this, though in my personal canon Jack and the Doctor meet again before the radiation chamber and things go very differently *g*

Congrats on a lovely fic!

Ooops, that must have been very poorly phrased on my part. Sorry! *headdesk*

Anyway, thank you again, I'm glad you liked the story. And it can go anywhere you like after that! (I personally like that it could just slip into the cracks of canon without changing anything - that makes it feel more real to me somehow.)

OH I LOVE THIS.

I'm currently rough-drafting a long fic that stars Jack in the role of Third Wheel to Ten/Donna. And this is so very much up the alley I'm shooting for.

Jack is so much better than most of the reams of hot, hot slashfic out there give him credit for.

A deep breath. "Fine, I'll tell you." He leaned back against the console and closed his eyes. "I want to stop losing people. Everyone who travels with me, I always lose them. Even you - you can't even die, and I'm still losing you more each time." He opened his eyes again, looked Jack directly in the eye, unsure of what he'd find there.

Jack was scowling. "If you really wanted to keep me, you could." And because he was Jack, of course he couldn't resist underlining the innuendo with a leer. Then he leaned forward, clear challenge in his eyes, the set of his chin, in his posture. "I'll stay if you want, temporal prime directive be damned. You know that - you've always known it."It's rough that it just can't quite work with the one human who's never going to die on ( ... )

Hee, thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed the story. And there's nothing wrong with a bit of soppiness on occasion, is there? :D

On second thought, no, there's NOTHING wrong with a bit of sop. *grin* I could do with a little more, frankly -- I think I just traumatized a couple of my beta-readers. Eeeep!

I'm so glad reveals are up. :D Now I can tell you "in person" how much I really adored it. It was a great place to set it, and I love the hint at a future happy ending (though preferably before EoT. ;)) Absolutely excellent job. Hope you don't mind if I friend you!

I don't read many fics in this fandom anymore (Dr. Who and/or Torchwood - there are just too many), but you're one of the writers I still follow. I could hear their voices exactly as if I was watching them live - you capture them so well.

And the ended was perfect - sad but hopeful. That's what these two are all about.
