Agreed, this was a beautiful ep. Plus I love it when my favourite characters go on a mission together. My only fear is that Cara will end up sacrificing herself for Richard in the finale. There's no indication whatsoever for that, just a feeling in my stomach.

It was wonderful.

I'm not really worried, both because of her role in the books and because of Tab's popularity. If they kill her, it'll be the SPN kind of death where you're back next season anyway. *g* (Well, if there were a next season. But you know what I mean - it's not something that's meant to be final.)

Posting before I'm on my way to bed...

Yes! This!

You see that the both of them care for each other and it really worked. It was a good episode. Double-episode next week! :-)

Are they actually airing both episodes together next week? If so both awesome and sadmaking! Awesome because I am psyched. Sad making for obvious reasons. Woe!

I don't know either - I haven't seen anything definitive, but I agree about the awesomeness and the sadness. *sniffles*

Although I did notice you might get early spoilers. ::is jealous::

::g::

I might actually have spent all day watching LotS now that I have the DVDs, including watching Denna with commentary (which I never do for DVDs). I'm kind of gutted that I came to the show just in time for it to be (theoretically!) cancelled.

::sad face::

The above CANNOT BE SAID ENOUGH. The fact that they got it right just blew my mind. Cara's entire storyline has just been handled perfectly by the writer's. It's been such a pleasure to watch it unfold and Tabrett has just been a revelation. And this is coming from someone who wasn't too thrilled about the addition of Cara when I heard about it - now she's almost my favorite thing about the show.

It's just so amazing. It could have gone SO VERY WRONG, and they neatly sidestepped all that so elegantly. It's a thing of beauty.

And even though I've always been fond of the Mord-Sith, I didn't love book!Cara nearly so much. Tab is just that fantastic. (She deserves to make it big - but first, another couple seasons of Seeker, please! *g*) I admit I was a bit worried they were taking her too far too quickly, but no, it was all a perfect set-up for this, and it fits together incredibly neatly. ♥

I have to say, The Dahlia relationship is one of the reasons I can get behind Cara's turn around to serve Rahl again. I just hope Zedd was right and she wasn't totally broken, even though she might be totally on Rahl's side right now that when faced with Kahlan and Richard she'll at some point, feel that emotional side and relationship we've seen built through the season.

She's definitely tied with Kahlan as my favorite and I love them for different reasons.

Very nicely put, in both posts you made about the episode. I won't comment in both cause I'd say the same thing!

Even if she's broken, she'll definitely be unbroken again. And I think - hope - that Kahlan will play an important part there, considering the season so far has put quite a lot of emphasis on the developing relationship between them. Cara may be loyal to Richard, but it's Kahlan she's closest to.

The thing is, I don't think they did. I think a lot of our ideas about what can be done on TV today are just plain wrong. People never do anything because they think it can't be done, and so it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. But they did here, and have you seen any upset over it? Nope, nada, nothing whatsoever. And that's another reason why I love this so much.
