I spent the weeking digging through my hardrive and restoring a lot of songs to the most pristine
condition possible on my hardware. Unfortch a lot of songs exist only as mixed wav files now, so they just
have to stay as they are. I am fairly satisfied with the overall quality of the audio after cleaning it up on an edirol, and I am sure once I hand the files over to Fuyuki he can run them through a ProTools filter or two and squeeze the best possible quality out of them.
Not counting a bunch of no-name instrumentals that I am going to insert, the following are all candidates
to go onto the forthcoming disc, perhaps even all of them. In no particular order:

4 Truths
2Player
Arthur Jermyn (2006 edit)
Dirt
Bad Moon (not sure which of the 3 versions to use)
Bite the Hand That Feeds
Pulpit
Neighbourhood 2006
Regression Therapy (if i can restore the quality to a good enough level)
Calgon take me away
Civilian
Freestyle f/ Pauley Ethnic
Pervese Introduction of Character (a re-recorded version done in japan over a different beat)
Ducks Unlimited
Fast Second
But He Can`t See This (inst)
Havenot feat. Jesse Dangerously
Strath and Chestnut
The Upper Hand feat. Timbuctoo (pending his approval)
Words/Gun Metal Grey/Reaper
untitled1
untitled2

Some of these, like Civilian, Ducks Unlimited and Havenot, are in my opinion fantastic songs and there is no question about using them. Others, like Bite The Hand and Dirt come from wav files that were eq`d badly and I don`t know if I can salvage them (at least not the original beat mix of Bite, but the "big monster remix" is definitly usable since it was produced in japan). Regression Therapy in particular is a sticking point because its one of my favorite raps but half of it was recorded as an mp3 and the whole thing is very low quality.
Some songs like the Twoppy doo shit or whatever it was called are just being cut because I think its too corny.

Pauley came over my joint and we had a listening session to everything, and he`s pretty keen and pushing me to handle this and handle it soon. He was particularly impressed with the cadence of Havenot, citing the chorus and jesse/my rap for as having a latyrx sort of flow to it.

I am gonna stress here that a will not record ANY new material to add to this disc, I am holding myself to putting it out as it is. The only thing I will do is add cuts. I am also giving the album an intentionally muddy, unclean sound - I want it to sound like a used mixtape, not some polished big studio deal. I think I`m gonna hold to that with everything I do from now on.
Everything I begin recording from this month on is competely for use on a brand new project.
After I get into the new apartment on Saturday I am gonna devote pretty much all my free time to finishing this quickly and just getting it done.
Exactly what means I am going to use to release it (or even if I am gonna try for a wide release) are kinda fuzzy just now.
but there you go
