My Journey To EIU
So Today I woke my ass up at like 6 to leave my house w/ my mommmy by 7. We went to the EIU college visit today. The campus was actually pretty big i thought. I mean we got lost several times and got turned around goin the wrong way couple times. It was a pretty cool campus though. I'm excited. I got to go through a lot of the dorms and take a tour of them and look at the rooms and decide which one I wanted to be in. I thought I'd wanna be in Lincoln, which is right near the Rec. Center. But when I went on the tour, I kinda thought it was a crappy dorm. Idk I jus thought others were better. So I think I wanna be in Taylor, it seems like its located more near where my classes would be.Its also a guy/ girl dorm, guys and girls are alternated on floors. Like guys floor, girls floor, guys floor. So I thought that was cool. Its a Lil more of a trek than I had hoped for to the Rec. Center, but thats ok. But yeah they had a big store, food court, and bowling and billiards, arcade and lots of pool tables and stuff right on campus. Idk the campus seems kinda fun to me. Idk a lot of ppl seem to bad mouth EIU saying theres nothing to do in Charleston and stuff and its boring. But I also don't think those ppl have been there. Idk maybe I'm easily entertained anyways. But as I see it, I come from a town of 1,000, which has absolutely nothing to do in it, and I come from a school with 400 students in the middle of a corn field...I don't see why I wouldnt have fun in a town of 22,000 and a school of 11,000. Seems perfect sized to me. But yeah I think it will be fun and a good change. It was also kinda cool, cuz just walking around on campus seeing everyone going to class and stuff made me wanna take school more seriously. Idk I think I'll like it. It will be nice not livin at home anymore. I just hope I like my roommate. Hummm...and thats a wrap.
