today has been faintly productive.
this morning i cleaned, because the maid is coming tomorrow. i hate the maid and she hates me. she deliberately rearranges everything. if theres anything out, she'll hide it under my mattress or behind my bookshelf. and she always leaves spanish prayer cards scattered everywhere! she doesnt do that to my sister...i think she's trying to exorcise me.
at 1 i was supposed to go to SAT class, but i got there and all the kids were dreadfully moronic and had a prep book that i didn't have, so i just left. whatever.
went to half price books and got the books for summer reading. whoever had 'brave new world' before me is thoroughly an idiot. the markings in that book are fantastic! "i don't understand this" "i'm glad i'm not a character in this book" "this page makes me dizzy".
then i went shopping. hey, i had three hours to kill. while i was shopping, the most amazing thing happened! this lady came up to me and asked me what the price of the shoes she was holding was... IN SPANISH. and i understood! and replied! holy shit, i'm bilingual! i don't really know why she asked me, though. suppose i looked like i worked there.
now nathalie and i are going to have a day of glory, featuring cosmic bob marley, tennis, making glorious movies, and jeepers creepers. i suggest you be jealous.
