The words "Barack Obama fanfiction" were just uttered by Michael Chabon on Up with Chris Hayes, and that's too many layers of weirdness for my brain.
Edit: If you're cringing at the thought, it was not a conversation about ACTUAL Obama fanfic. This was really a very interesting discussion about political storytelling, the story Obama tells about himself and the stories we tell about him collectively. I highly recommend watching if you're on the west coast or can watch it online. It's still equally weird and cool that "fanfiction" is a word that can be uttered now in a non-fannish space and everyone at the table understands the reference. We've come a long way, baby.
