In an effort to truly change my world, I have decided to take a page (almost literally) from a website I viewed called
http://www.365grateful.com . I haven't used LJ in ages, so I thought, why not dust it off and make use of it?
I've missed the first two days of the year, so I will begin with them.
I took my Mom to the airport on Wednesday. She'd been staying with me since the end of November, and I thoroughly enjoyed her company. We did crafts. We talked deeply about God(dess), kids, marriage, and life. We shopped. Oh the shopping! She bought my family new dining room chairs, which we desperately needed! She bought the kids essentials like socks, underwear, and bras (for SP). She cooked, she cleaned, she watched the kids a couple of times, she lent us some money; all in all, she made this a very memorable holiday for me. I love my mom, and I cherish our time together.
Thursday was an absolute wash of a day, and for that, too, I am grateful. I spent nearly all of it online, something I'd not been able to do in six weeks. I refused to allow myself to feel guilty, instead telling myself I deserved it.
Today I find myself happy to be sitting here at my computer next to my husband. He took the day off. We snuggled in bed together all morning, and are now spending some leisure time before the poor thing has to go to the dentist. I know I am lucky to have a husband who brings home enough money for us to get by.
And now, pics.
Nightlights!

Our Yuletide tree.
And the one upstairs

The four cream colored chairs with the criss cross backs are the new ones. Thanks, Mom!
