Challenges can now be claimed!

The deadline for claiming a challenge is January 10, 2006.

Before claiming a challenge, please read the rules on the UI page.

Respond to this post with the challenge you are claiming, including the number, and if you will be writing or drawing the challenge.
You may claim a challenge that you suggested!
Challenges can only be claimed twice - one for fic and one for art. I will try my best to keep up the list, but please look through the comments first to see if anyone else has claimed the challenge. I will be deleting comments as I mark the list to make this easier for you.

A few key points to remember:

Posting of stories or art begins on February 01, 2006. The deadline is March 31, 2006.
You must join the community to post your work.
Post your work in this community. No links to your LJ or archives. This is so if you delete your LJ or the archive is removed, your work will remain here for others to enjoy for eternity. :)

Fleur decides to show the other champions the *real* reason she doesn't like 'Ogwarts food...there are plenty of other things she'd rather eat!

The real reason Viktor hangs around the library so much is to sneak into the restricted section with Harry under Harry's invisibility cloak...Cedric catches them while doing research for an upcoming task.

(AU) As there are now 4 champions, it is decided they need 4 tasks. The teachers and judges can't think of a suitable task and so take student suggestions to be put in the Goblet of Fire. Whatever the task ends up being, it leads to two or more champions becoming under the influence of something (ie magic, alcohol, drugs) and decide to spice up an otherwise boring task.

Fleur thanks Harry for saving Gabrielle. He asks her about what it’s like to have a family. She asks him why Ron was the thing that he'd miss the most and he finds himself unexplainably opening up to Fleur about being alone. claimed by reddiej (FIC)

(AU) The Champions decided to spice things up a bit. Whoever wins the cup, is 'Master' of the other three until the visiting schools leave. Cedric doesn't die; there are no world-shaking tragedies; but there is a lot of hormonal, kinky, teenage sex. claimed by shimmyoverherex (FIC)

Harry and/or Cedric win a prize to go backstage and meet the Irish and Bulgarian teams. He/They accidentally find Krum alone in the showers, disappointed at having lost. claimed by mina_pak ( FIC)

Since his death, Cedric's ghost has stuck by Harry. Harry hasn't been able to see the ghost until the after the Dementor attacfk but even though Harry can now see/talk etc. with Cedric's ghost no one else can and think that Harry's going mad. After saving Gabrielle, the little girl sticks to him like a shadow, and Harry finds himself wondering if this is what it's like to be a big brother. Despite what he has done for them, Fleur is not so sure she wants young, British Harry Potter too close to them, and takes it upon herself to evaluate his worth as a person, not just a Champion.

(AU) Harry was sorted into Slytherin instead of Gryffindor. Because of this, instead of helping Cedric and taking the cup together, he takes it alone. Technically, he has just saved Cedric's life. Harry holds it over his head.

In the second task, the merpeople hold captive what the Champions will sorely miss; and some of the Champions aren't very happy with who they find at the bottom of the lake. The tournament can both make and break relationships.

Harry sees how the relationship between Viktor and Hermione is breaking Ron, and confronts the Bulgarian about it. Viktor will not be swayed from his courtship of Hermione unless he is convinced he can have something better. Harry, in his foolish, Gryffindor way, tries to do just that. claimed by birene (FIC)

Cedric decides that it would be a nice gesture of camaraderie if all of the Champions gave each other a Christmas present. Of course, he wasn't quite expecting presents like this.

Fleur and/or Viktor feel that it is their duty to introduce the Hogwarts boys to some real culture.

The male champions are accomplished Quidditch players and happen to play the same position. They challenge each other to a "Seeker contest" (for lack of a better term)- several snitches are released, a time limit is set, the winner - in possession of multiple snitches - has his or her pick of any of the losers for a night.

Viktor, Cedric, and Harry have a makeshift Quidditch game that heats up.

What happens when Victor is lost in the Quidditch Pitch Locker Rooms' and seems to fall into the Hufflepuff Locker Room where Cedric has just came out of a shower -- practice, of course.
