It's time he says

My next day off is on Tuesday and that'll make seven days in a row that I have worked which is against company policy. I asked if I could leave at 1pm today which is three hours into my shift and make up the remaining five up on Tuesday or Thursday. There would've been coverage at that time so I didn't think it would be a big deal. I talked to Dyana and she gave me some bullshit about it only counts if it's the SAME week, Saturday to Saturday. I stupidly agreed and was like oh that makes sense! Later relooked it up on employee resource guide type computer program we have and it clearly says no employee can work more than 6 days in a row and nothing about it doesn't count if spread across two seperate work weeeks. Going by what she says/thinks is policy a person could work ten days in a row and she'd think it was fine. That would be for example... Saturday/Sunday-Off, Monday to Friday-Working & Saturday to Wednesday-Working, Thursday/Friday-Off. That's two work weeks.

Anyways she'd said mention it to Ken the store manager and let me know. And she never did and I didn't bother to ask again because the day was going by pretty fast and I was in a good mood so I decided just to stay. If Kurtis, the new guy is there tomorrow (he called off today) I'll try leaving, if not likely I won't attempt trying. Him being new his schedule isn't officially up and when I asked him what it was he couldn't remember (didn't have it on him) so I couldn't rearrange my schedule to make everyone happy. Also known as making sure there is maintence coverage at all times or damn close to all times. The main reason I want the day off is damn principle of it, plus I walk A LOT and want a freaking day off to rest the 15 or so hours between shifts really don't count especially when a bulk of that I'm doing that sleeping thing.

work, wal-mart
