fighting to hold back
Last night I was sitting here using this lovely computer perhaps playing literati (who knows or cares) while Jason was channel flipping over on the couch. He stopped at American Idol where we listened to the recap (first off ugh!) and than they listed; assuming showed the males for tonight. And they said Gideon, my first reaction was fuck! If he does good or wins there is no doubt they could be an upswing in the use of Gideon. Names and people using them are often influenced by tv, movies, etc. Ugh! I now see it's spelled Gedeon but still doesn't change the fact it's said the same name.
I know my thinking is dumb but yet there it is.
Over at one of the communities I am apart of a big fight/arugement/whatever started over someone making fun of non-normal nmes. The thread wasn't even about that! The original post was someone complaining their cousin named their son the name they planned on using. Simple as that. Someone in a reply made a comment about how they were postive no one would take their name pick which is a bit uncommon. This bitch replys going ugh! how horrid! Whatever happened to normal names!? I work at kid parties and it's stupid how many weird names there are! Like Phoenix, Griffin, etc! Parrents are so dumb. What a bitch. Okay if you want to name your kid something normal and in my view boring like Ryan go ahead! I won't bash you for it. I only scaned the thread which was about 40 posts, it seems most peole thought her comments were unneeded. But she is sticking to her guns. Which is okay... just people shouldnt go that name sucks!
And how is Griffin an odd name? It's actually retty common. 241 in 2004. But I am assuming for some people if it's not in the top 10 it's too out there.
In news not involving names Jason and I are eatting with his aunt this evening. No idea where though.
