Oh Dear Gawd...
Let me tell you, I am the kiss of death to all computers. The only computer that has ever lasted was my first one, the dial-up. It had no anti-virus to speak of, and took forever and a day to load, and 10 years to download. But it was steadfast thing, and never really gave me any problems.
I then decide to get another computer, a hand-me-down from my gamer brother. This computer purred, was fast, I could watch vids online, and look at images in seconds. I downloaded assignments and lectures for school and all was cool.
Until the damn thing blew up.
And yes, I mean literally blew up. Like sparks and flames and me screaming and running around looking for SOMETHING to kill the flames, and until now I have a scotch mark on my wall. The fan had broken and the whole thing overheated.
So I get another hand-me-down from the beloved brother. This one once again purred and was fast, and had no complaints. Then one day it just would not open, no matter what I did. After some investigating it is discovered that the motherboard was dead, or what i called 'died in its sleep'.
THEN I have the next computer BUILT for me. Its a cute thing that looks like a boom box (and I mean it is square) and it has the CPU's temp on a little screen for me to see and monitor (cause im paranoid about computers blowing up on me). All seemed well, it was fast and sleek and omg it was beyond beautiful...then the Blue Screen of Death came and I lost everything. Had the reformat the baby and yeaaaa....lost a bunch of stuff.
So I arm it with stuff , and I am more cautious with where I go and what I watch and I swear off downloading period.
So then I get a laptop, cause I am going back to school and I need something where I can access my work at all times and where I can write my stories wherever I am at. I arm it, and I am extra careful...I mean the only sites I go to are fanfiction.net, livejournal, deviantart, school website, and my email (which I do NOT open any unknown emails). All is well and good with the world.
And then for some reason I cannot access any web pages on it. I have full internet connection but it won't open anything.
Its a curse. I someone has voodoo dolls of all my computers and is killing them to drive me insane. I mean, what the hell?????
I'm going to go to bed now and be miserable. Perhaps tomorrow things will make sense and the damn thing will work or else I'm might just chuck it out the window.
