an odd assortment of random stuff
random item #1: a few weeks ago we went to the talbot street art fair. i got a wooden cut-out to hang on the wall, just a plain black skull. very kitschy. and we threw healthy meals to the wind and had an order of wisconsin cheese nuggets, beer battered and deep fried. insanely delicious! but my favorite purchase is a board-matted print of a quote i love:
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body.... but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO WHAT A RIDE!"
random item #2: a man in oklahoma was attacked for his bologna and cheese sandwich at the bus station. i thought this was funny for a minute, then decided it was just plain sad.
random item #3: we might be coming to chicago in august. i'll be looking at ticket prices friday.
