I Can't Draw Cars
Continuing the story started in last week's strip, I tried to further establish the characters. Something I constantly worry about is how dimensional the characters are, whether they're too bland, or doing something out of character, etc. This was an attempt to showcase Emily, aka the short girl.
Something was wrong with me when I drew this. The faces of everyone look really, really, wierd. Especially the mouths. I know I've gotten better, but only just. Blarg.
As for the joke, eh. It sounded better in my head. My favorite part in this whole thing is the Gobstone comment. Really, though. This would have worked better if it was right at the time the book came out. This was published in December. Live and learn, I guess.
Grunch is a funny sound effect, though. I like that.
