So this weekend was pretty amazing. I went to Belfast in Northern Ireland. It was more intense than I thought it was going to be. The IRA and most of the Ulster paramilitary groups have disarmed in the last ten or fifteen years. So there isn't too much danger anymore. As long as you shut up. I wasn't planning on going straight through the previously dangerous areas. I took about fifty pictures of murals while there. They're all on Facebook, so go check those out.
We also went to The Giant's Causeway which is this 40,000 year old volcano formation. It made these really tall rocks that look like hexagons. It's right on the north shore too. So it was one of the prettiest areas I've ever been in. And the places I've been is starting to become fairly impressive. But I took videos! Again. I'm liking this video business. Pictures of the causeway are also on Facebook.
The Giant's Causeway. This is on the Grand Causeway, which is the biggest and windiest of the causeways. So wind means the sound is... windy.

This is the wall separating the Protestant and Catholic areas. It's a pretty intense area.

So without making a huge lecture about Northern Ireland, it's pretty much super confusing but really interesting. We got lecture from a professor at Ulster University about the murals in Ulster. The super military ones were kind of scary, but I know that they're mostly just talk since the cease fire.
Anyway. Two papers this week and then one the next week. AND THEN SPRING BREAK FOR A MONTH.
