Superman Returns

I watched Superman Returns last night.

Like I said to ravyn_ashling online, I felt like I was invading Superman's personal space. It was a very intimate film, and it certainly felt very personal, maybe because the movie was more about Lois Lane readjusting to Superman's return than about Superman, as keanoidd pointed out. Certain scenes gave me goosebumps because I felt like I was watching something I shouldn't.

It was also a very quiet film. Dialogue was minimal, even the musical score was subtle. Even the giant action sequences felt like personal home video. I don't know if I'm making sense, but it's the best way I can communicate it right now while I can still keep myself awake.

As for Brandon Routh, to quote keanoidd, every time he flew across the screen, our ass muscles would loosen up.

I liked Bryan Singer before, but now I'm a little bit in awe of him.
