I met Dulaang UP's PJ and PJ yesterday, and managed to interview theater great Tony Mabesa. Made it out of that interview relatively unscathed, considering that I knew very little of Tony Mabesa, and had to do a ton of research in such a short time.
PJ and PJ also took me to the dermatologist yesterday--perk of the job, what can I say? I was given a massage, while my low self-esteem was given a thorough beating.
The dermatologist began by scrutinizing my face with a magnifying glass equipped with fluorescent lights, thereby making sure that each and every little bit of my facial deformities will be clear to her eagle eyes. My oh my, I never realized my face was so deformed until I spent those terse minutes under that glass.
Of course, that wasn't nearly enough humiliation for one night. The good doctor had me put my head into a box that was lit solely by a UV light. And under said light, not only could I hear what exactly was wrong with my face, I could actually see it in all its frightening neon glory.
Now I regret not getting that facial when I was in Cebu.
