Weekends that are long are still too short

So, I spent Thanksgiving itself with my friend Mitch and his family, which was a fun time, if only saddened a bit by the fact that his Mom is in the hospital. She loved the Thanksgiving dinner we brought her though, and we visited for about an hour.

On Friday, I played Magic and various other games with pharfig and his two lovely friends who's livejournal names I can't quite remember. It was a fun time.

Saturday was a game day with Dan, Dave, and Ann where we learned a new game called Descent: Journeys in the Dark which is kind of a board game version of D&D. It was fun, and will be easier to play once familiarity grows.

Sunday was spent helping Dan pack and going through random Magic cards he has to cull out the ones I wanted before he got rid of the rest. It was a nice, quiet productive day, but alas, this is the last non-Magic tournament weekend, I shall be spending with Dan while he still lives in LA. :(
