Well, as most of you know Cody and I are cheperoning Natural Helpers. We THOUGHT It was last weekend, and showed up there, and waited and waited and waited and finally called Hanson and found out. So, that just made things even more chaotic because I have an exam on this Friday and I had to pray to GOD he'd let me move it. He did, thank goodness.
So, anyways we just went home like normal for our fall break, which by the way is still going on, I just have to work today so I'm here. I got my first tattoo on Friday, and I say first because I can almost guarentee I'll get another. It was a really really fun experience. It's a big deal in your life ya know, when you get your first tattoo. Kind of like getting married in a way, because once thats there, it's there. You can't move it, erase it, wish it gone...it's THERE for the remainder of your life. I guess it's not at all like marriage, everyone gets divorced, those people shouldn't get tattoos...
Anyways, that was the highlight of that weekend, and also getting to babysit Elizabeth with Viv that was fun. We just ate pizza, fed liz, danced around and screamed like idiots and got paid ten bucks each for the hour and a half we were there. It was nice, really fun. Liz was in a really great mood. Saturday, Ted Cody and I went to Buffalouies to watch the Purdue/Iowa game. It was terrible, just terrible. We sucked real bad. I don't get us. Oh well. Then Sunday we spent the whole day at my grandparents helping them get their spare bedroom ready. My uncle and his new wife and her son are coming to l ive in Indiana again! So, they should be here Thursday night late or Friday early morning. This weekend after Natural Helpers, Cody and I are going home so that I can see them, and so that we can celebrate my birthday, my family birthday. I'm so so so excited. Aunt Janine's making me a cake, which is always fun.
I look so forward to Thanksgiving/Christmas this year now that we have three new additions to our normal family that we see all the time. I mean, it's usually the four in my family, my aunt and uncle, and my gparents. 8 of us becomes 11!! Thats wonderful! Christmas is going to be sosososso fun. Anyways... thats pretty much all I have to say about that. Nothing interesting, nothing even relevant to your lives, just me recapping my fall break, which like I said before is NOT OVER YET but it is for me cuz I gotta go to work UGGH! OHH one more thing. I have an interview at 6 Wednesday night with this family in W. Laf that has two kids, a 4th grader and a 6th grader. I would have to stay with them after school until 6:30/7pm when their mom gets home. I would do homework with them, feed them a snack, and just keep everything on track. I'm really excited, and the mom seems very excited as well to meet me. Her daughter is sped. Not physically thank goodness, because my back can't take anymore lifting. She's in 6th grade but reads on a 3rd grade level. I would have to work with her on writing and such. I have many ideas! I think I'm going to buy her her own journal and each day think of a topic for her to write me a paragraph about. Then, we'll go through together and find the mistakes. I also have some worksheets I think will help her with grammar and such. So, needless to say the teacher in me still gets excited about these little things.
Thats it, I'm actually done this time. I have to leave for work. Which, by the way, is so hard after the incident with my student, I'm a nervous nelly alll day long. I don't trust him, I'm traumatized. Anyways. Thats it. Take Care, have a wonderful week! It's Tuesday already thats something to smile about. OH and Happy Birthday Baas!!!
