The Nerve of Them!

Aug 03, 2007 14:06

I just checked Amazon to see where my package is.

(Okay, that just totally cracked me up in the same way that football tight ends crack me up, and now I can't stop snickering to myself.)

(I doesn't has package! I has ladybits!)

*ahem*

So. Amazon tells me to check with DHL. DHL tells me to call their customer service number, which they do not provide in the notice telling me to call their customer service number and which I must therefore hunt down on a separate page. I call DHL customer service and have a very pleasant conversation with a recording. ("When I say the option you want, just repeat it back to me!" He failed to say shoes, and as a result I am slightly disappointed, but otherwise he was quite charming. For a recording, anyway.) Finally I speak to a real live person, who tells me that the package (*snerk*) won't be here until Monday.

Monday!

I have paid Amazon a squillion dollars for a year's worth of Prime Shipping. It should be here today. Today!

[I fume.]

Damn Amazon, and damn DHL. Those bastards. How could they do this to me? Don't they know I need those books?! I am livid!

[I perform the web-browsing equivalent of stomping off back to the Amazon tab to find their customer service link and tell them how thoroughly enraged I am.]

We hates them! We hates them, my precioussssss! Those bast--

Oh. I put the wrong zip code in my work address.

Huh.

Well, it's not like I don't have plenty to keep me busy until Monday. That's not such a big deal. No sense making a big fuss over something so trivial.

[I thank all that is shiny and good that I noticed my mistake before I sent a letter full of righteous indignation, ranting and raving with much fury and lolcat grammar, about how very poorly they have treated poor, poor me.]

can't brain, righteous indignation and lolcat grammar, dhl, amazon
