Reading Challenge: Jacqueline Carey
19 and 20: Kushiel's Dart and Kushiel's Chosen by Jacqueline Carey
I finished Kushiel's Dart last Monday and Kushiel's Chosen today at lunch, and this evening when I get home from work I will start Kushiel's Avatar. I've read all three before, several times, and I always fall in love with them when I pick them up again. These books put Jacqueline Carey at the top of my list of favorite authors with George RR Martin. (We're ignoring Banewhatsit here.) She captures my imagination with the first paragraph of the first book and holds it through all three of the Kushiel books I've read so far. This time, though, I can move on to Kushiel's Scion (I'm pretty sure it's an XB) when I've finished Avatar, and I'm very much looking forward to that.
I know I have some Jacqueline Carey fans on my FriendBots list. Any thoughts on Banethingy or Scion? Thoughts which are not spoileriffic, I mean? And are you looking forward to Kushiel's Justice?
