Crazy Eddie continues to amaze me. For several days now he's stood there in the middle of the living room and let me pet him with one hand while I pet Linus with the other. If I'm not petting Linus, I don't get to pet Eddie, but that's okay with me. I think this is marvelous progress. He actually stands up, rather than squishing himself into a vaguely cat-shaped blob on the carpet, and he looks at me while I'm petting him. He loves me! Or, you know, the container of kitty pellets I'm holding while the petting takes place. Either way.
This weekend is Home Improvement Weekend. Not that there's a great deal I can do, since I rent an apartment rather than owning a house. I can't go too Bob Vila on the place. I can live with that, though. I'm going to fix a couple of doors that don't hang quite properly, hang up some Decorative Stuff, fix the blankie chest in the living room, and maybe paint a wall. There are times when I wish I could really go all out with the decorating and hammering and nailing and sawing. And then I remember that I don't have to pay the plumber if something goes wrong with the sink, and I feel much better about the whole thing. Baby steps, you know.
I've been Netflixing the first season of Medium, and I'm halfway through the last episode. I don't want it to end. I saw most of the episodes when they originally aired, but I'm enjoying them just as much the second time around. It'll be months before the second season will be available. *sigh* I'll have to watch Friends or Monk or Silk Stalkings in the meantime. Oh yes. Silk Stalkings is one of my total guilty pleasure television shows. I know it's dreadful, but I love it anyway. What are yours, my little FriendBots? Tell me about your maybe-should-be-embarrassing television joys. You know you want to.
