What I Did This Weekend, By The trista

May 30, 2006 12:47

My long weekend included X-Men in the theater and several movies on DVD, a bike ride, a horrible allergy attack (Snot Level = Horrifically High), biscuits and gravy, lots of reading, some cashews, grocery shopping, a very soft stuffed cow with gigantic eyes OMGCUTE, turkey burgers with hummus and red onion, pretending to bond with Crazy Eddie when ( Read more... )

I went and saw X-Men this weekend too... sorry to hear about 'the bits' but sounds like a great weekend otherwise

It was a fantabulous weekend! :)

Did you like the movie? I did. I'd heard loads of terrible reviews, but I wasn't disappointed. I think part of that is that my only experience with the whole X-Men thing is the movies, so I don't miss the bits of story that weren't there and I don't notice the things that aren't true to the comics.

Personally I enjoyed the movie... but like you I never read the comic books. Guess it'll be hard to come out with an X-Men IV seeing as how so many of the characters are dead... but then again they did bring Jean back to life from 2 to be in 3 so guess they can still do a 4 *shrug*

To just barge in on the conversation, I liked X-3 too, but I am also a fan of the comics. :)

As for a potential IV- well, there are all those students at the mansion who are growing up... lots of potential new X-Men. And, if they get Angel on the team, they suddenly have more air support. ;)

I'm quite glad they 'pruned' where they did.

Now, did either of you stay to the very end of all the credits?

'stay to the very end of all the credits'... at my age you tend to want to hit the restroom as soon as the movie ends ;-)

Guess maybe we missed a little teaser about a possible 4 perhaps ?

Well then I should fill you in, remeber that 'ethical dilemna' Prof X. mentioned in his class? Well, we learn how he solved it...

Oh, and my hubby is 1 year younger than you, and HE managed to stay. :p

Also, there's nothing stopping them making movies about characters who died if they really want to. They can just set the movies earlier in the timeline than this one.

And yes! I did stay to the very end! Iiiiinteresting possibilities there!

I thought it was pretty neat, though apparently my brother thought it was ooooh so obvious. :p to him, thought I.

Hee! It wasn't obvious to me at all! In fact, I'd forgotten about the little bit of foreshadowing entirely.

I didn't think it was obvious either. But older brothers being what they are... ;)
