My Weekend by The Trista

For my yarn-crafty, volunteery FriendBots

I had a nice weekend, if you don't count my incredibly high snot content. Stuffy nose-type snot, not personality-type snot. Of course, that's there, too, but it's pretty much a constant.
  • I watched Battlestar Galactica. I am obsessed.
  • I watched House. I am obsessed.
  • I went to Ikea and bought the second half of my bed. I was caught up in the glorious frenzy o' shopping and the beauty o' the bargain and in my Ikea madness only grabbed the box o' bedrame the first time around. So now I have the slats and the midbeam, which I understand are required in order to make the bed work properly. So yay for that.
  • I did loads of crossword puzzles. They are good for my thinkitude. They are a workout for my brains, and I lurve them.
  • I spent some quality time with a book. I haven't been reading much lately. I have no idea why, because I love reading. So this weekend I picked up A Feast for Crows and started reading again. I was rationing it, only allowing myself a chapter at a time so that it would last longer. Somewhere along the way I set it down, mostly because it's one more heavyish thing in my heavy bag o' heavy things that I lug back and forth on the bus from home to work. I put it on the bookcase when I was tidying, and there it's been all this time. I started another book after that, and haven't finished it yet, either. I'm thrilled to be reading the Martin again, and when I've finished it I will read the Gaiman, and all will be joyful and good.
  • I had chocolate cake. It was heavenly. I intend to have more tonight. Ohyes.
I love bullety listy things.

Work is fantabulous this morning. I am SuperProductive
The Trista, and it is glorious. And do you know what is truly fantabulous about the jobby job? This is not unusual. I lurve this job. I am happy. I like coming to work in the mornings. I like my work day, during which I do actual work because there is actual work to be done, and even better, I like the work that I do. I like the people. There are no Verns here. I work in a Vern-free environment. A Vern-free environment in which I am supplied with coffee, no less. I feel appreciated, both for myself and for my work.

It is good to be me.

Stoat!
