Moving right along…

So lessee. Things of note:

- My D&D group got to second level, annihilating the last bit of the ‘training encounters’, as I’ve been calling them, shorthanded. I think they’re getting used to the system.
- D&D Insider released the beta version of the character creator. Still has some bugs, but notably, it’s a desktop application, produces polished, rules-consistent characters which _can_ be house-ruled as you wish, and prints action cards with character specific details. Is pretty slick.
- Bought Dominion, a slick card-engine type game designed to have high replayability and expandability. I’m enjoying it a lot.
- Been paying steady attention to Mutants and Masterminds the last few weeks in my spare time. I think I’ve gotten to the point that it’s time to brainstorm worlds to play in. As expected, my pen is full of tropes; hoping I can get them out of there with a bit of effort and start writing stuff that doesn’t immediately scream “You’ve been playing Squaresoft games while watching Heroes and reading bad urban fantasy!” I’d prefer that kind of revelation to take a while and not make people groan when they realize it…

On call right now, so generally stressing. Also going up tonight to see Ty for his 26th. He’s doing pretty awesome right now, so maybe, just maybe we can get through tonight without arguing. Here’s hoping!
